PM Shehbaz Sharif Addresses Parliament
During a session of the National Assembly chaired by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the House regarding the recent escalation in the India Pakistan conflict 2025.
“Our enemy tried to strike under the cover of darkness, but our brave forces turned the dark night into a moonlit one,” said PM Shehbaz.
India’s Night Attack on Pakistan
According to the Prime Minister, on the night of April 29, 2025, India launched a surprise attack targeting six cities in Pakistan. The strike involved 80 Indian fighter jets, including Rafale aircraft, in what Pakistan labeled a cowardly and unjustified military operation.
India alleged Pakistan’s involvement in a tragic incident in Pahalgam, Kashmir, where civilians were killed. However, PM Shehbaz dismissed the allegations, stating:
“Within 10 minutes of the incident, India registered an FIR and began blaming Pakistan without evidence.”
Pakistan’s Retaliation: Precise and Powerful
Pakistan’s military responded immediately and decisively.
- Communication systems of Indian Rafales were jammed
- 5 Indian jets were shot down, including:
- 3 Rafale jets
- 2 Mirage 2000s
- Multiple Indian posts destroyed, including a brigade HQ
- Pakistan did not cross Indian airspace, showing strategic restraint
“We could have taken down 10 jets, but we acted cautiously,” said PM Shehbaz.
Civilian and Military Losses
The Prime Minister acknowledged civilian casualties on the Pakistani side, including women and children. He called for prayers in the Parliament for the martyrs of the Indian attack.
India’s Attempt Foiled: Technical Superiority Demonstrated
PM Shehbaz revealed that Pakistan’s air defense locked the Rafale jets’ systems, forcing them to retreat.
“They landed back in Srinagar, confused and defeated,” he added.
Indian Defeat Acknowledged
Following the intense dogfight, India raised a white flag at the Chura Complex near the Line of Control (LoC), signaling a tactical retreat and acknowledgment of Pakistan’s military dominance in the encounter.
PM’s Call for National Unity
PM Shehbaz Sharif urged all political parties, including opposition PTI members, to unite under the national flag.
“Let us show the world we are one — this is our moment of unity and strength,” he declared.
Intelligence & Warnings Ignored
The Prime Minister also claimed that Pakistan had earlier intelligence of India’s intentions and was fully prepared. He also reiterated that Pakistan had offered an independent investigation into the Pahalgam incident, which India refused.
India’s Alleged Support for Terrorism
Shehbaz Sharif linked recent attacks in Balochistan, including a train hijacking, to banned groups BLA and TTP, which he alleged were backed by India.
“We have undeniable proof of Indian involvement,” he stated.
Pakistan’s Message to the World
Pakistan demonstrated not only military readiness but also restraint, discipline, and technological superiority.
With Indian losses mounting and international pressure rising, Pakistan’s successful defense serves as a message to the world: it is a conventional and nuclear power that cannot be underestimated.
