The United States has stepped forward to mediate and reduce escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, following recent military action.
According to Dawn News, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio contacted Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, urging restraint and dialogue.
🤝 US Urges Calm, Offers Mediation
In the phone call, Rubio emphasized the importance of regional peace, asking Pakistan to act with patience and responsibility. He stated:
“Peace in South Asia is crucial for global stability, and the US is ready to assist both sides in constructive talks.”
US State Department spokesperson Timmy Bruce confirmed the call, adding that Rubio encouraged dialogue and offered American assistance to prevent further escalation.
🇵🇰 Pakistan Responds to US Offer
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar appreciated the US offer but made Pakistan’s position clear:
“The ball is in India’s court. If Pakistan is attacked again, our response will be firm and unstoppable.”
Dar reiterated that Pakistan’s military operations—launched in response to Indian aggression—will continue as needed.

Pakistan recently launched Operation Banyan Marsus in retaliation to Indian strikes. According to official sources, 12 major Indian military targets have been hit, including:
